Where have the last few months gone?

It's been a busy summer but I sure am ready for Fall.  I absolutely hate the hot weather.  It is so draining.  Just a few things have been going on......of course we've both been working and outage has been going on for the past couple of weeks.  Robert is on nights so it seems as if I'm a single working mom these days.  Our schedules are opposite so we rarely get to see one another.  The house is coming along.....sort of . We've been hit with a few challenges along the way.  First, our contractor got very ill and was out of commission for a while.  It took Robert a while to get in the swing of things with the house, but it has been moving.  The exterior is getting closer with the siding, stone, and cedar accents nearly there.  Still need some steps, rails, and garage doors.  On the inside, they are about to start painting.  Then will come the cabinets and flooring.  I'm still been looking for the right flooring and countertops.  Getting close though.  If only our water line was an easy fix.  The rocks have been a major obstacle getting it complete.  I'll be so glad when it's finished and we can get settled.

Baby Cole has been growing like a weed, but thinning up a bit.  Can't believe he will be a year old in less than a month! I've missed posting some of his monthly pics and need to take his 11 month picture.

Chase doesn't like his picture taken too much anymore unless he's trying to steal the spotlight from his little Bubba.

Cole is Five Months Old!

I'm a little late posting Cole's five month pics, but I haven't had much time lately with trying to get ideas ready for our new house!  We should be breaking ground within the next couple of weeks, if we could only agree on which direction the house should be! Anyway, Cole is growing like a weed....a big chunky weed.  He loves to laugh, especially at Chase.  He's officially in 6-9 month clothes. I just can't squeeze him in any more 6 month outfits, even as hard as I try.  We are still having trouble with a nap schedule and he has just started sleeping 11-12 hours per night, Hallelujah!  He's still a good boy at daycare and the church nursery.  He eats 8 oz at a time, still spitting up just as bad as if he just ate 6 oz.  We've tried sweet potatoes, which I made and froze, but he just seems to not be ready for food yet.  He weighs in at a whopping 18 pounds!  I'm officially done with the carrier, just can't hold that thing with him anymore.

Chase turns 3!

Wow, how time flies.  Even in the last two weeks just trying to post about Chase's 3rd Birthday.  Can't believe how much he has grown in the past year.  Not only is he now 34 pounds and 37 inches tall, he is pretty much potty trained and talking so much more.  He has said some pretty cute stuff lately, I should write down more than I do, but it just gets away from me.  We started Chase's Birthday Celebrations a couple of weeks early, just to spread out the celebrations, (and also to bribe Chase at times to be good or go in the potty.)  Mimi and I took Chase to All Aboard restaurant in Little Rock followed by the Museum of Discovery.  We met a college friend of mine with her 2 1/2 year old there and watched the train deliver our food.  Chase loves choo-choos and I thought this would be a great treat for him.  I was a bit disappointed in the train though, especially since we have Stoby's and he can watch a train circle the restaurant multiple times.  The food was good though and it was good to see our friends, too.  We then went to the Museum.  They have a little kids area which Chase could of stayed and played in all day long.  He even played a little dress up in the theatre.  He put on a cheerleader outfit and when I told him it was a girl's outfit, he just had to take it off, but not before I got a pic.  He's gonna hate me when he's sixteen and finds out all the pics I took.  We left the museum and went by Sonic for happy hour and i got him a green apple slush.  He loved it and said it was "so two-licious!"  over and over.

Here comes our food by train!

Watch out! I'm steering the ship!

You're so funny, Mimi!

Well, that was the first of the Birthday festivities.  We still had a cake at Maw-maws's, a party at school, and a big Pirate Party at home. Guess i'll eventually get those on the blog later.

Cole is Four Months Old!

I'm a little late getting some posts about recent events, but better late than never.  First, Cole turned four months old on February 27th.  He's growing fast! Already 16 lbs 1 oz.  He doesn't look fat at all, he's just solid.  He eats 6 oz in each bottle about 6 times per day.  We tried rice cereal for the first time, and he hated it.  When I look at it, it just reminds me of spit up, so it's pretty gross. I don't blame him for not liking it.

Hey, What u doin?
